MayTech Computers Inc, Steven Walters, Patti Lamusse, Employment fraud for online opportunity!

I saw and applied for an admin job on Craigslist.com and forwarded my resume to the email address provided. I received an email from Patti lamusse (sic), who identified herself as the Human Resource Manager of MaytechComputers Inc. (sic) that the CEO of MayTech Computers Inc, (sic) Mr. Steven Walters, wanted to conduct an online interview via Yahoo IM with me to discuss the job position.

The email stated "If you got any problems please feel free to email back."

Once on the IM, 'Mr. Steven' sent a list of interview questions to me. The grammar was questionable. I IM'd my responses back and was told I would know in approximately 10 minutes if I would be hired for the job.

After 15 minutes I received a response that I was approved for hire and that I would need to immediately go and open a checking account with a savings option at WellsFargo Bank so that they could direct deposit my paycheck into the account directly. I was instructed that it could not be an 'Opportunity' account and that an HR packet would be emailed to me within a few hours.

The 'Opportunity' account will accept Direct Deposit but it will not allow transfer of funds between accounts.

I notified 'Mr. Steven' that I could only open the 'Opportunity' account and to please advise. During that time, a friend of mine did some research on the company and the 'CEO' and found them on your website as bogus characters conducting fraudulent activities.

I sent an IM to Mr. Steven Walters stating that I had done some research on him and the company and found that they are bogus and conducting business fraudulently. He immediately logged off of IM.

They only wanted to communicate via IM with limited use of email. The individual posing as the CEO was in VA. However, the real company is headquartered out of El Paso, TX.

He said I had to hurry and open the checking account that day asap. When I inquired if he was in CST or EST, he replied he was in Virginia. He evidently didn't know or understand what I was asking.

I was suspect that the CEO wanted to 'interview' me instead of the HR representative, considering that MayTech Computers Inc. Is no small company.

Jobseekers Beware!!!
