On April 26, my brother ordered a Lenovo Thinkpad from Nancoelectronics.com, which has an elaborate, but fraudulent website offering to sell consumer electronics at a very low price. I had seen this site and mentioned it to him; he thought I knew it was a valid store and sent them $1039 to buy a computer for me. Nothing ever arrived. After a few weeks, I checked on the internet and saw other complaints about them. Their modus operandi is identical to one reported by Mark Hachman in PC Magazine online. The name of the company he described was different, but it was the same scam.
