I Signed up for a trial of horsepowernnews newsroups service and gave my credit card # and was emailed a confirmation notice. I went to the site to loggin and got a "no such account message". On their site they have a support area where you can email problems. I must have emailed 30-40 times with no response over a weeks period of time. I then noticed they had charged my Visa card 12.95-for a service I never used. I told them to cancel my account in my fist emails -still no response.
I did a little research and it seems Horsepowernews billing is handled by TKL Networks (according to my credit card statement) and they are located in Kenya! Their website looks pretty slick and I found that nowhere on their site is an address, email address or phone#. Basically there is no way to contact them except through the customer support page on their site.
They claim " best 24 hour online support...". Right! I canceled my card because my bank said they will still be able to keep charging me... What a pain in the butt.
Avoid this company at all costs-unless you want to donate your hard-earned money to a bunch of Krooked kenyans.
