These people advertise for accounts payable or bookkeeping positions. Then they "interview" you over messenger and after you're "hired" they extort money from you.
In my case, they promised to set up a home office for me (some computer equip). They tried to get me to forward money to pay for it in advance (and they would reimburse me) but I wouldn't do that. They then said it was OK and they would send me funds. I received money orders which I cashed, and sent payment to the supposed supplier of the computer equip. They also tried to get me to send money for parcels for other clients, but I didn't do that.
The money orders were counterfeit and now I'm in deep financial trouble. The person doing this is a smooth talker, but DO NOT be as desparate for a job as I was and get taken in. You'll know that it's not legit, because the person is not very literate, and can't explain things in proper English. Do not accept ANY money orders, cheques etc. From this company - they are all counterfeit, although they look real.
It's a huge scam.
