Robs you while you sleep

About two months ago PayPal notified me that I had reached a "spending limit" and I would need to verify my account. Since I had no reason to distrust them I supplied the information they asked for. I continued buying as usual on EBay and made some purchases that exceeded the amount that I normally pay.

One day I start getting notices in the mail that my checks are bouncing. I check the balance with my bank and I am told that it is in a minus status. PayPal took it upon themselves to redirect funding of my purchases to my checking account without so much as an e-mail letting me know. I have spent over $300 in bank fees for returned checks and more will follow before this is over.

When I contact PayPal I am connected to the telemarketing group in BOMBAY and cannot understand half of what is being said. But basically what they tell me is when I verified the account, it gave PayPal the right to debit my checking as the default account instead of the VISA card I have used since day one 5 yrs. 5 mos. And 11 days ago. Somehow, overnight, I was no longer capable of making my own financial decisions so Paypal stepped in to see to it that I was well taken care of. Mother F*
Now I have been on the phone and getting bucket after bucket of bs and run around. I know that I cannot be the only one affected by this racket that Paypal has set up. I would love to be a part of a class action suit to be brought against PayPal/EBay. I figure that they owe me $300-400 in bank fees, $50,000 in damages to my reputation and another $50,000 for emotional stress. Who else out there is feeling the same pain? Please please please let me know if there is an attorney working on this. I want in on it.
