One of my dreams was to become a Network Administrator so i signed up with Fast Train in order to accomplish this. I did not only not accomplish this, i was also out of $14,900 that i would never see again.
I have to pay for indivdual tests to get certified when iw as told they were included in the package.
I accepted this and tried to make the best of this bad experience only to find incompetent teachers. There is also one teacher who wasted four hours plus gas to supposely go to a Starbucks cafe because he was going to teach us how hot spots worked, never did we learn anything regarding this matter.
Classes are really bad, equipment is outdated and when we confronted the supposed owner, we were told and i quote "this is what you will see in the real world" i find it hard to believe that the real world is using 800MHz workstations designed for the now unsupported and outdated Windows 98/NT 4.0 operating systems. When confronted about internet speed, which at the time was teaching us more than the teachers did, we were told, and i quote "this is what's being used in the real world".
All in all, giving money to the poor would had yield better results, because at least i would've tought that this was helping someone. I could've paid my car off instead i am in debt up to my neck and still havemn't found a job that would help me pay this off as i don't have experience and companies are aware of Fast Trains bad performance and are turning they're backs on me. Only was i able to find a job when i removed FAST TRAIN from my resume.
I would not advice anyone to ever waste their time or for this matter their money on this scheme. The only ones that actually make something out of it are the owners.
I wish i had done some reasearch first.
Everything i've learned has been on my own, reading on the internet and the crappy books they provide at fast train. Actually, since i stopped going to fast train i have learned at a rate of 150% than when i was actually going to class, saving time, gas and money and spending quality time with my family.
All in all, i would never recommend this school to anyone that i cared about.
Stay away from fast train, which in relaity is "SLOWWWW TRAIN"
