Virus Protection with a catch

For years we and our company have used Norton Anti-Virus to protect our machines. For many months a malware pop up continually pops up redirects to their website and gives information of urgency.

Tonight after attempting to download our update to the program on their website we were forced to contact customer service for assistance. There were two more transfers to different departments as one by one the tech on the other end of the phone had no resolution.

After a very short conversation with the last tech and they accessed my laptop online-were were informed it would be $100 for Norton to remove the malware causing the problem we were experiencing.

WAIT-not only had we already bought the program, paid for the updates needed to be covered correctly with virus protection but here is the icing on the cake=the malware adware is Norton's own, they are the ones who allowed it passed their protection on my laptop-Now they want an additional $100 to remove something that their product did not protect as promised. Next we were told the supervisor was not taking phone calls that evening. My husband ended the conversation going no where with multiple choice loud words for the tech.

Their overpriced software isn't doing the job, but why would it when what we were complaining about came straight from them to make more money!!
