I had 2 ebay accounts. One of them I sold jewelry supplies. I had a few negative feedbacks due to people who thought it took too long to receive their items, even though it clearly stated in all my listings to allow 2-3 days for sorting and then once items are shipped, I have no control over how long USPS takes. I had delivery confirmation and tracking information for all my sales so I know everyone, even the ones who negative feedback, received what they paid for.
All of a sudden I get an email from Ebay saying they are going to suspend my account for "falling into the bottom 1% of all Ebay sellers with regard to buyer satisfaction". I figured this wasn't worth it and closed that Ebay store and all listings. I still had my jewelry store on another account, which had over 500 feedback, with a rating of 99%.
A few days later, I receive 2 emails from Ebay, saying both of these stores/accounts have been suspended indefinitely. I emailed them and asked them why. They told me one was associated with the other and that I failed to improve on the one. I told them it was hard to improve when I closed the store and had proof that all of my buyers received the items they had purchased. They told me they "don't accept proof"! I have never heard of anything so ridiculous. They are willing to take the anonymous word of others over actual proof I have that the items were shipped and received.
Ebay is just a bully with a monopoly on the online auction sector so they figure they can do what they want, with no regard to the fact that this is many people's livelihood. I have now lost a lot of money, my reputation as a reputable seller since 2003 is shot and I have a load of inventory with no where to sell it.
Someone needs to do something about Ebay and their unprofessional business practices!
