I placed a legitimate order with Vita-Cost.com and before the order confirmation appeared, I got a pop-up that said save $10 on your next order by filling out a survey... Click Here!
I clicked on it and started filling out the survey which mostly wanted more information on me... I quickly got tired of it and closed it without finishing it.
After hitting the back button a few times and next a couple... I finally got back to where I could confirm my order with Vita-Cost, this time ignoring the save $10 pop-up.
I received my order from Vita-Cost but this month on my bank statement I also received a $14.95 charge from Ap9*Shoppingesse888-9990564 Ct (Shopping Essentials)
I called my bank and filed a fraud report... I called Shopping Essentials and they agreed to refund my $14.95 within the next 2 months or so. (We'll see)
I also called Vita-Cost and informed them I would no longer do business with them.
The real kicker is that Vita-Cost passed my credit card info to them even though I didn't confirm the additional $14.95 charge and didn't even complete the survey. Looks like as soon as I clicked the Save $10 on your next order pop-up... The wheels were set in motion.
Beware! I'd like to have the 3 hours back it took to clean up this mess.
