I cannot believe this is happening just as I thought it would 1 week in a half before I started classes. Something seemed fishy to me but I went on and proceeded with the process because of pressure from people that wanted to see me succeed academically. The only reasoned I proceeded was because I thought that I was attended a pretty good reputable school, and I got tired of procrastinating about school.
I respect computer technology along with Bill Gates, but this scam has really left a scar on me. I took a risk to broaden my horizons and this is what I get? A smack in the face with a debt of over $7000.00 because somebody has let there greed overtake them? Must a 21 year old young Christian Black African American go through this kind of treatment abuse? I don't believe so.
You know what? It wasn't no more then the first day I was in the building getting my books for the class when I had felt that I don't need to follow through with these classes. I don't know, everything just seemed threw together you know? So, guess what I did? I called Sallie Mae asking them to help me get out of it. At first, they was like, "ofcourse! You can get out of it... Submit a letter, you only attended one class ofcourse you should be able to get a refund." I said okay.
I called Joe Eustace minutes later requesting to be relieved, requesting for the number and address to the Ameritrain Headquarters. Joe took me through the frenzy of asking me why, I don't have the address on me right now - (that was a lie, he is the Director and don't have the address)- come on. Then he said these exact words, "Well, it is going to be pretty difficult to get your money back from Ameritrain." Hello! People are you out there! Are you listening?
That threw up a quick Red Flag on my part saying, "This is going to be a bumpy ride" You want to know why? Because lets say after the fact I gave Sallie Mae a call and ask them the same question I asked them before and told them everything Joe Eustace told me. Sallie Mae was like, "Well, if he said that then the school probrably don't give refunds!" What the heck is that! Joe didn't even go over anything with me, it was like he just wanted my money while softening and commending of how bright and smart I am for making this decision, I feel used! Never again people, never again.
Can you see how I felt right then? I felt total pressure like noone is working on my behalf, its just me and the Lord. God I need a miracle!
Sallie Mae told me to submit a letter to the school to the school. What if I would have submitted the letter and it turns out I can't get my money back and I still have to pay it monthly through Sallie Mae Financial. I still will have to go to school with these guys and there is still no promising word from people involved that I could lean on. Also know this, there wasn't many black people around so just imagine how I felt. So I didn't submit a letter because I didn't know who to trust then. Only God knows. I felt like the whole operation was thrown together just for me to loose about $7,000.00 and many other victims loosing the same and even more. Some may say, seven thousands is cheap. Well, if you are like myself, I want to find myself doing smart things with the Lords money you know?
My Instructor Steven Crane was a good guy, but just from all the crap I was sensing from the Ameritrain whole, it put him in the same category as the other Bad people of Ameritrain. I could not hardly trust him for a while either until i got to know him on a 1 on 1. He is totally being used and blackmaled by all the above. I have been calling, and calling and calling trying to find out what is going on at Ameritrain but there phone is off the hook. It turns out they are trying to jump gate and pull a "Enron" on us.
I have only recieved 2 months of quality service out of the 1 year contract that was signed. I want Justice done and I want the money I deserve back as soon as possible, I have a future ahead of me. Help this young black male as well as many other of my friends that are victims of Ameritrain. As William Wallace ounce said, "We must fight for freedom" So, Let us fight. I am on the phone right now talking to a Attorney at law. And I am telling her everything. Whoever can bring this miracle to pass, please step forward.
