I started off with their Dial-up service which was far too slow and continually disconnected me for being idle (according to them). Plus their software messed up my computer. So I switched to their DSL service.
In the 3 weeks that I had it I was lost my Internet connection 25 times with no warning. The lights on their modem would indicate I was connected & the Connection icon in my Quick Launch bar said I was connected but I wouldn't be. I would have to completely shut down my computer and reboot it in order to reset their equipment and get back online.
When I contacted their Technical Support people I would get a "form letter" in my email (one they send out to anyone who requests help) that listed steps to supposedly fix the problem. When I would reply telling them their steps didn't fix anything I would just get another letter like the first & round & round they would go. When I would call their phone support they would always say the problem was on my end. Not theirs.
When I signed up for their service they offered me a 30 day money back guarantee trial. They also told me that if I canceled my account within that trial period they would pay the postage for me to send their equipment back to them.
Twenty two (22) days after signing up I called to cancel my account. Not only did they inform me that I had to pay to ship their equipment back to them but I was also going to be charged a penalty of $100 for "early termination"... A stipulation they did NOT tell me about when I signed up.
They also informed me that the way the 30 money back guarantee worked is that whatever money I had been charged and they had been paid during that 30 days would go towards the $100 penalty.
