I was double billed for a site submission service, asked for a refund and was told no refund so I cancelled my account before my statement period ended and changed my billing information. I'd read about the numerous times that customers of 1and1 cancelled their accounts and continued to be belled. As a reprisal, my provider put my cancelled account in collections for 29.97 and locked me out of my account preventing me from transferring my domains or changing mameservers. Per FDCPA, I have legally disputed that unvalidated account with the collection agency and with 1and1, but they still refuse transfer my domains or unlock my old account so I can do the transfers. My sites are down and I am losing revenue, positioning, etc. These domains are my personal property and are protected by laws which go ignored and violated by 1and1.
