Scam-report.org/PaidSurveys mis-representing as a consumer scam reporting newslette

This report comes up when a person is searching for ways to get paid to take on-line surveys or surveys at home. It is dated the current date that you are searching and reads as if they are a consumer organization and have gone out and searched all of the sites that claim that you will make money taking surveys on-line. They then report that there are only two that are "legitimate" and they go on to describe these two.in addition, they include a "special" rate that you can receive if you subscribe to one of the sites that they describe and put in the code that they provide.

I went to the site of the woman and it appeared as they described it. I then signed up for the service and paid the $37 (I believe). It then took me to a large list of organizations that I could sign up to do paid surveys. I signed up for probably 1/3 or more of them. I waited. There were a few e-mails form sites that gave you chances to win "points" or chances to be entered in drawings, and 2-3 sites where they would offer $5 for a survey (though usually after answering a number of questions for free, the response would be that I didn't qualify for the survey.

Finally, I got suspicious and went back to the "scam-report" only to find that the same report was still posted, now with the current date. It dawned on me that it was likely linked with the "woman" and that the way that she actually makes her money is not by taking surveys, but by people falling for this "scam-report" and paying her $37 per person for her to do absolutely nothing. Pretty good deal, huh???

Oh, I did get on a number of e-mail lists where I get all kinds of offers for gift cards, TV's, computers, etc. If I will just sign up for the offers that they give me. (which all have hidden costs and hassles!) It will take me awhile to get off of these lists. I e-mailed the woman who supposedly runs this little organization Contact: CYBER JUNKY, INC.
Email: [email protected] but she did not respond to my e-mail.

I am sure that a person could technically find a way to make a bit of money from her "service", but the real frustration for me is how the scam-report newsletter is set up to make it look like they have investigated when in reality it, too, is just a gemmick to get you to pay for this worthless "product"

I've learned. Won't do that again.
