After coming home with a computer that had just spent a few days trying to recover from a system recovery that went bad, I was alarmed when I saw the pop up notes that indicated that I would now have to save my computer before it crashed. What's $35.00 compared to the priceless pictures already lost unless I spend a weeks paycheck on data recovery service. So off I go to scan, and fix my computer's issues.
Unlike some of the other stories, my credit card had no problem going through. And as my im that I had just made a purchase on my debit card, the fixes were supposed in place and my computer was now safe. The next morning, I have multiple pop ups telling me I must purchase the software again. I can't get through the maze of pop ups now. Trying to locate the company to insist on my refund was futile, and now I sit with a pay check to paycheck existence with a full day's worth less to make it through.
Woodlands isn't that far from podunk texas, anyone want to go with our VP Cheney to hunt for these theives?
PLEASE Lets not let them get away with this.
