I received a call from Startup Essentials in response to a survey relating I had an interest in starting up an internet business. He talked a very fast talk and the next thing I knew I was being transferred to an account financial advisor. He stated that this would be my one and only chance. I explained that I was disabled; a home business would be the thing for me.
At the beginning of the interview, I was told that very few people who applied for their services actually qualified. It was explained how I would receive training in all aspects (the Journey), be provided with many "free" and otherwise difficult, expensive tools and services to make my business successful and easy to run. Then, because of the characteristics that I portrayed in the interview, I was selected!
Then they put me through to someone from a different department and the next thing I knew they had I signed up for 36 months. It was then that I was told that I would receive a start up kit, would only pay them a small amount of my profit. They would provide all of this and would be always available to contact for coaching and other needs, for only $119 (not sure the exact amount) a month. Wasn't that great?
Then all we needed to do was to go through the paperwork. I would be committing to this for 36 months (I was committed, wasn't I?) Then there were boxes for me to initial and sign right on my screen. I was signing a 36 month non-cancelable contract!
After realizing the impact of what I had done, I called to cancel. No. When is first draft? What other fee would I be charged? A-1's fee, iPayment fee, merchant account fee and other fees depending on your line. I just took the bk out of the box and the fees will start in 3 wks! Support would be for 1 yr but I am leased for 3 yrs?
