Its time for ebay to change!!! I had 100% positive feedback. I was very proud of that. On Dec 11th I bought on a buy it now auction a very old computer game. One you cannot find anyplace BUT ebay. The auction did state shipping in ten business days... My fault for watching this so long but ok, it may not make it by Christmas. Its for my husband, hell be fine with it being late. THEN I looked at the sellers feedback. (Yes, I should have done that first. I would have run!) MANY negative feedbacks for non shipment, or the thing doesnt work, no communication etc. So... I sent them an e-mail that day. Said its my fault for not buying this sooner, I had been watching it for weeks. And that if it doesn't come by Christmas thats ok, just please let me know. I also stated I know lots of crackpots leave bad feedback. I hope its not justified.
Well. I got a reply right away. Very nice. She said she would make sure this went out this weekend the latest. So we would get it before Christmas. Christmas came and went. New year came and went. I started e-mailing them over and over. What happened? Was it shipped? Is this lost? Is there any tracking information? NO reply. Finally I opened a dispute through pay pal. THAT got a reply. Snippy one at that. They ship in ten business days, her father was ill so it went out in twelve, so they were two days late!
Now how would I know any of that when my last communication was well send it this weekend the latest??? I finally got a notice that it was shipped on Dec 29th.By this time the dispute was already opened. The box arrived by Jan 5th. I sent one last message with a copy of my e-mail, reminded them I e-mailed several times with no reply, and that even their own policy was TEN BUSINESS DAYS, not TWELVE but that this box finally did arrive. So I would not leave a negative feedback but they certainly didn't deserve a positive one either. I left neutral stating poor communication, very slow shipping. Thats all. Then I dropped the dispute.
Well low and behold I see a NEG.in MY PERFECT feedback from this idiot! WHY???
Isnt the idea of feedback to point out when someone does something WRONG? What did I do wrong? I paid the SAME DAY I ordered. Not ten business days later! Sent a very nice letter even pointing out how I would ignore their bad feedbacks. Did everything I was supposed to do. This was pure spite and I dont understand. I did not leave them a negative (though they deserved it!)
Now ebay will do NOTHING! Its not their policy to remove feedback. They recommend I leave a comment under the neg. But with only room for 80 characters, I certainly cant explain much. Apparently its not their policy to look into it at all. This guy has EIGHTY neg. TWENTY in the past year alone. MANY for non shipment, or broken non working items. If ebay gave a crap at all they would fine, or remove such a seller. Its in their best interest. Sure they would loose his fees, but instead they lose MY business all together and countless others who experienced similar problems.
I think they should investigate EACH AND EVERY negative feedback BEFORE it gets posted. But they dont care.
This forum is just the start for me. I plan to find the mailing address of their CEO and send copies of this whole mess via certified mail directly to the CEOs desk! E-mails, the auction etc. THEN I plan to file a complaint with the BBB. I encourage everyone else who knows exactly what Im talking about to do the same!
To add insult to injury, the blasted thing I bought DOESNT work! I wont even try to ask the seller for a refund. Fortunately I dont rely on pay pal for anything except hiding my credit card number. I paid through my card. THEY will reverse the charges once I prove I shipped thier crap back. Which Im SURE they will only resell to someone else. So look out. The guys user name is parallaxviews so AVOID him if you shop there.
