I tried to do the right thing by buying an online lifetime membership to download mp3 music. The purchase price indicated $23.46 USD, but once purchased there was an additional charge of $9.88 USD for spyware that was not requested. This was billed as a second transaction to my VISA.
I immediately tried calling them on their 24 hour toll free billing help-line. The message came up saying that this call could not be completed from my service area, although I was calling from Canada and the number was supposed to be valid for all areas outside the US or UK. I tried for 3 successive days but got the same message.
I subsequently sent an email requesting a full refund for both amounts. [They indicated on their site that there is a guarranteed money back if not satisfied within 7 days].
I have not yet received a reply from them.
I have contacted VISA and filed a dispute with the intent of regaining my money as well as informing VISA of this company's billing practice.
