This company is a JOKE:
I set up an account for a dedicated server for my web site. After finding that services and prices were not as advertised I called to cancel. That was the beginning of a large scam job:
The Server Pronto support rep refused to cancel via phone saying that I needed to fax my account number, plan ID and name, and other misc details, including a copy of my drivers license, and a copy of the front and back of my credit card to CANCEL my account. Odd that I need to submit a copy of my CC to cancel, but hey, I was willing to try...
A month later I notice they have charged me for another month of my dedicated server. I called to ask Server Pronto about this and they were unreachable - for 8 days (and counting) their support line has apparently been on holiday.
I called to charge back with my bank since I still had copies of all the docs that SP made me fax in to cancel. A couple of weeks later I get a call back from the bank saying according to SP I failed to fill out the cancellation forms correctly - even though I filled them out while I was on the phone with the original Server Pronto support rep that walked me through this process.
What company makes you fax in a copy of your DL and CC to cancel, then without telling you decide that your request was not good enough to actually follow through on? Looks like I got ripped-off.
