I was awaiting a call from a LEGITIMATE lead-generating company for my home business when I saw I had a message on my answering machine. The message's caller didn't leave his name or his company's name, just a phone number and the statement "I'm calling regarding generating leads for your online business."
I called the person back and was shown how they could make my business' home page appear during a search (without explaining the searchers' needed to download the company's software.) Since ordering their package for $2,985, I have only received inquiries from people in other countries, most of whom weren't interested in or couldn't afford my product.
I recently filed a complaint with the Las Vegas BBB. Last week, I received a letter from them with a rebuttal from Cloud Nine essentially saying "he signed a contract, it's his problem." This company called me without my permission (My name is on the national Do Not Call list) and misrepresented its product to me. Based on other comments at this site, it's clear that this company only makes its money by preying on startup business owners. Avoid it at all costs.
