Halfpricedmags - Snappymags
Halfpricedmags.com, Snappymags.com Ripped me off and never sent me my magazine subscription and didn't reply to my e-mail asking for a refund New York

I placed an order for Real Simple magazine on 2/21/06 through halfpricedmags.com. They claim that it will take up to 12 weeks for the first issue to arrive. I never got my magazine, so I contacted them via their customer service web form in May and June. They claimed there was a problem with the publisher processing the order and re-submitted the order.

Every time I tried to contact them, I had to use their web form because none of the e-mails sent to their [email protected] received a reply and they don't list a phone number. They always had the same excuse blaming the publisher for not "processing" their orders. I got fed up and filed a complaint with the New York Better Business Bureau. The NYC BBB tried to contact halfpricedmags.com, but they never responded to the BBB's inquiries and BBB had no choice but to close my case after almost three months.

Two days ago, I contacted halfpricedmags.com via their web form one last time to demand a refund and to tell them that if they did not give me my money back, then I will file a complaint with the FTC and any other place where I can file a complaint against them. They never wrote me back and I never received a refund or credit for the $17.16 I paid for my order. And halfpricedmags.com certainly did not apologize to me for failing to fulfill my order after seven months.

I suggest that you do NOT use halfpricedmags.com's services for discount magazine subscriptions. They do not provide an adequate way for customers to contact them and discuss problems, and they do not reply to e-mails sent to their "official" customer service e-mail. The savings is not worth the effort you'll have to put in to chase down your order, and it's not a bargain at all if you don't get the goods you ordered. I think the company not responding to BBB is a bad sign, too. Please go to ftc. Gov and file a report with the Federal Trade Commission as well if you've been ripped off by halfpricedmags.com.
