Please be aware that because of this Rip-off site, I was saved from being separated from my hard-earned money and spending my precious time trying to unravel the labyrinth called Referralware. Their website and rhetoric are polished, sophisticated and convincing. As I was about to sign up with them, I began to notice that I had not seen anything but a Thawte VeriSign logo indicating that they were indeed a secure site for credit card authorization. However, I did not see a BBB Online logo. They claim to be multi-millioniares from Orange County. Why would they not have a BBB logo to put people's minds at ease?
So, I decided to open a new window in my browser (while I kept their Referralware site in the other window) just to check out their company using the Better Business Bureau Online (BBB Online) to see if there were any complaints. Of course, I found no URL or company information about either Referralware, the "group" supposedly inside the client-company called Juvio in La Jolla, CA.
This software is marketed as a kind of hands-on computer problem-solving software. They are supposed to have software that can log onto your computer and fix the problem without you being there. Strangely, after I actually logged into the BBB site, the Referralware site dropped off of my computer screen.
Of course, my this time, Referralware had all of my pertinent information, including my sensitive credit card information.
I think this is very dangerous stuff.
