As a leading guitarist in the music industry, I was glad to find that George Lynch had a guitar "instruction" website. It was quite expensive comparatively at $29.99/month. I didn't even hesitate because of the "name brand" and the presumption of a high-quality product/service. I've subscribed to other instruction sites and had a notion of what a "good" site was. This site is pitiful in terms of content. When I last logged on there were no more than 15 pages/screens of content. Less than 10 multimedia clips and the insruction consisted of hand-written tabulature in PDF files that were difficult to read. No explanation accompanied the tabulature.
My main complaint is lack of response from the site POC however. I was willing to just let one month be charged and write it off as a lesson learned. However, I did ask what I needed to do to cancel my account, and after 3 weeks now, I still haven't heard back and there are no online instructions. I also thought I'd try to get what I could out of it for the month I'd paid for and asked for assistance with some of the features, what little there are, that I was having trouble with and receiving errors when I'd try to open files or play multimedia. I got an initial response with detailed questions about my computer, internet connection, etc. I answered immediately and then got a follow-up questions, which I answered, and that's the last I heard from them—almost three weeks ago.
Because of this, I asked then that my first month be refunded if I didn't get a response within three days and then I'd contact my credit card to dispute the charges. Unfortunately, I found that because I used my "Visa" checkcard, I can only dispute charges that I didn't authorize. I can't chargeback because of dissatisfaction with services.
