I bought 2 items on ebay from Bargainland. It goes back about 14 months ago but I felt I needed to add my unfortunate experience with Bargainland to the rest. One item was a remote controll car which I paid through paypal. The car was sent but to a wrong address. It was returned to Bargainland and I was told I had to pay again for the shipping.
Payment for shipping was sent but returned with the explanation that I had waited to long to pay the shipping so the item was relisted and sold again and that I would receive a refund in 6-8 weeks. It never came. Paypal informed me that I had waited too long to dispute. So I was out of the $32. The 2ond item was a chandelier. It was $40.00 and was stated to may have been out of the box once or possibly used very little but was in good condition and included a picture. There was no indication in the listing that is was a stock photo.
I was given a choice of shippers, but when I went through to checkout and paying with paypal, I was switched to the most expensive shipper DHL for $70.00 There was no way to retract or no option to switch back to the less expensive shipper. The chandelier arrived in a shabby, dirty and broken taped over box. Needless to say the chandelier was broken beyond repair. It was make of resin. The arms had been bent flat. The finials and urn were broken.
Upon assembling the broken pieces together, I saw that many were missing. It was broken before it was even shipped! Just thrown into a broken box with bits and pieces of broke up styrofoam for packing material! And the styrofaom stunk like urine! I complained to Bargainland and was told I would get a refund but I would be out the $70.00 shipping. Figuring that would be the best I could recover, I agreed and was told that I would have to wait 8 weeks for a refund. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited for a few more months, the refund never came, and I again was too late for any satifaction from paypal (of course)
Bargainland-Liquidation has almost 10,000 negatives and many nuetral feedbacks but Ebay allows them to continue to trade their garbage and obviously in good standing. If it was one of us individuals, Ebay would suspend us in a flash-no questions asked! Ebay is greedy getting huge fees from these unscrupulous sellers who operate without sanction
