So, I was searching for puppies on domesticsale.com (which is a good website), when I found the maltese puppy I wanted. It was a Jennifer Brookers and her puppy was only 300, shipping included. We emailed back and forth about the puppies and I decided to go ahead and buy them. She gained my trust by saying she wanted the puppies to be brought up in a "good christian home". I was to send a money gram to her "shipping agent" KENJI JONES, which I thought was odd but went ahead with it anyway.
A man called me the next day with a very odd voice / accent. He called me from a restricted number. He told me he received the money and the puppy would be shipped Tuesday. Tuesday morning I was to get an email from Jennifer again with the shipping information.
Well, it is Tuesday now. I get an email from Jennifer stating that the puppy's health certificate needed to be renewed and that she would ship the puppy the very next day as long as I would send the 150 dollars to renew the health certificate right away. I responded by saying I shouldn't have to pay that, but I would do so as long as she had the vet call me to explain why the Health Certificate was 150 dollars. (I looked online and most ranged from 25-50 dollars). I still have not heard back and saw that another person had the same experience with this "Kenji Jones".
I am trying to get my money back from moneygram because obviously this is not a real person, since the last person who had this happen to them said that Kenji Jones lived in New York, and I had to send the money to Alabama, however they are not being cooperative. The last person I talked to from Moneygram told me that as long as the person had a photo ID, they could receive the money. Apparently it's as easy as that.
