Rebate Fraud companies are difficult to reach and uncooperative

Looks like I'm joining quite a crowd, and I sincerely hope a class action suit against Tigerdirect and onrebate is possible, as I will be pleased to join.

I was lured into Tiger Direct's "amazing" deal of a Seagate 250 Hard Drive and Ultra FW enclosure for only $89., after rebates.

Trying to even register the rebate turns out to be the possibly fraudulent part - or are they only trying to make it so complicated that you'll give up and not file in the end?

Tiger and Onrebate.com's deal (maybe 'scam' is a better word) directs you to locate your product's code in a multi-step process, and then Onrebate requires you to fill out a page of information on their website. The problem is that when you try to fill in your phone number, you can't - and when you submit the form, it tells you it can't be processed because of it (!) I have tried this 3 times, without success.

THEN: Just try to contact either company - talk about long hold times. I gave up after waiting for onrebate for over 20 mins, in the middle of a weekday afternoon. Tiger is bad if not worse, as the 3 times I reached a customer support agent I was put on hold for up to 5 minutes and was then cut off!

End of Rip-off rant, but if you have had a similar experience, I strongly urge you to join those of us who would like justice and our rebates!
