PayPal held over $1000 of my money hostage and made me give my private information, as a ransom, to get my own money back. PayPal is a scam.
They trick you into signing up for their free service, and when you have a positive balance in your account they put unfair account limitations on you and force you to provide more information than necessary in order to get your money back. It is more information than a typical bank, employer or DMV would need from you.
They said it is for our protection, and yet they said they do not know who you are until you provide all the personal information they request.
If anyone knows of a class action against PayPal for this type of practice, please let me know. If they did this (I am sure they already did) to a thousand people, imagine how much free money they have acquired from the public.
