This company promoted the "affiliate website" scam where you give them thousands of dollars to generate and distribute pop-under windows that promote bona-fide companies like Amazon, Overstock and various casino websites.
The deal was supposed to be that when someone goes to the bona-fide website for the first time via the pop-under you purportadly invested in, you get a percentage of any money spent by that person.
The Results Group of course spouted all kinds of claims where people made tens of thousands of dollars a month for doing nothing but checking in now and then to see how much money they are making. The made it sound as if it was guaranteed that the investor will make money.
They were careful and clever though to actually only guarantee that a certain number of people would "click" on your affiliate website and be directed to the bona-fide sites.
Sure enough, as time went by, the ten thousand clicks I had paid for were steadily used up and surprise surprise, no money for me! I of course called them up and they said "Oh, just be patient. Sometimes it takes a while to see any return." As I passed the 5000 click point and I was getting testy, they said if I didn't see any return they would give me more "clicks" and continue my campain for another year. As of now, the ten thousand clicks I paid for are used up and I haven't seen a penny.
Interestingly, no provision was ever even made to transfer money to me in the event I actually made any! This seems to be the clincher that this is a scam.
The obvious question is: "Can't The Results Group just have a bunch of people (or monkeys) in the backroom clicking away at those affiliate websites, using up clicks and counting their money"?
They have a really slick group of people promoting this over the phone and really impressive paperwork they send you including IRS forms!
Lately I am seeing more and more people reporting in various forums that they too fell prey to these guys. I would really like to get my money back (nearly $3000)
