Beware of MovieLand, Free Trial, pop-up! They are a fraudulent, non-responsive, company that will put their program on your CPU without your consent! Ripoff

I am a single working parent of a 15 year old. He was doing research on the renaissance period for his history project on sunday, 1/21/06. This program was installed onto my computer without my consent and i have since removed it because there is no use for this by me or my son. Yesterday (1/25/06) i got the first pop up saying my 3 day free trial was over and i'm financially obligated to pay the $99.99 fee otherwise they will send me to a collection agency. The worst part is this pop up continually comes back onto my screen every 15 minutes or so until i go nuts or pay for their minimum fee of one month usage ($29.95).

I spoke with my son and told him to warn me from now on when any pop-up shows up as he may accidentally clicked on it to get it off his web page he was pulling research from. I went online and looked at their terms of agreement and it specifically says "the software and any and all resulting services are not intended for use by or available to persons under the age of twenty-one (21) living in the United States." however, if it says it's not 'available to persons under age, then how did it get onto my computer?

I've documented the many times i've tried to send them an e-mail on their website via the customer service selection, but everytime you press the submit icon, it will not go through. I emailed them to remove my ipa address and other personal information from their company usage that is allowing them to constantly send me these pop-up reminders for payment. I have very clearly stated to them that unless the original acceptance of their three day trial has asked for identification of the individual to verify legal age for use, they have no grounds for this constant harrassment or grounds for holding me 'financially obligated for payment'.

I removed their program and all their cookies from my computer on 1/25/06 and have never used their services even during their so called 'free' three day trial. I will continue my efforts to find a corporate page to contact them and file a formal complaint with the better business bureau for their harrassment every 15 minutes. Please everyone, beware of the misrepresentation of the 'free' three day trial for movieland.
