I was surfing the web searching for Ebay information and E-Pro Auctions sales page came up. They stated that they would send you an Ebay kit for only the shipping and handling fee of $2.95. I filled in the information and provided them with my credit card number for the shipping and handling charge.
After I received the product and read the fine print I saw that once you send for the kit you are automatically enrolled in a 14 day trial for their Ebay software E Pro Auction. Unless you cancel this you will be charged $29.99 each month for using the software. Apparently I signed up during a special promotion and the charge is now $49.95.
After reading the fine print I contacted the company right away to cancel. A few weeks later I noticed the $29.95 charge from Tek Meds, an affiliate of E Pro Auction, and contacted them. They had the information that I cancelled the product but could not tell me why my account was still being charged. They had to email me a form to electronically sign before I was able to receive my funds back. I received the funds 7-10 days later. I was very happy to be done dealing with this company.
Then about two weeks ago I saw another charge on my account for Auction Success for the amount of $4.25. I knew it had to do with the E Pro Auction/Tek Med problem I had earlier so I contacted my bank. After several minutes of searching my bank was able to get the phone number for the company that was charging my account. I contacted them and they were affiliated with E Pro Auction and stated that the charge was for a monthly newsletter which is not mentioned in the terms and conditons. Again I requested them to cancel this and they stated they would return my funds and would not charge my account again. I still have not received my funds back and I am going to follow up with them today.
The reason I am reporting this is because this company sucks you in by stating they will send you free information, but in actuality you are signing up for their software program and newsletter which is a recurring fee of $54.20 a month. Not to mention that it is a horrible experience trying to cancel the account they have set up for you. I would highly recommend staying a way from this company and researching Ebay by other means.
