Rupplync sells old Sharp organizers at huge markups along with extremely buggy and defective software (Rupplynx 6.2) that connects via a USB port through a Keyspan adapter (which you can buy yourself for a much lower price than they sell it for). The company claims the software synchronizes with Outlook although acknowledging in the "readme" file on the disk that it is very sensitive to communications problems and that the computer may need to be run in "safe mode" for it to work at all. I was only able to get data transfer in one direction, never from the computer to the organizer (which results in a communication error). It doesn't work in safe mode at all.

TO communicate with Outlook, data first has to be imported to Rupplynx software. Scheduled appointments appeared in random order, and the sorting functions (by month) didn't work. Selecting a month resulted in one item on the randomized list being highlighted. It was also impossible to add appointments because the time function didn't work.

Customer support was completely useless. Generally, I would get cut/paste responses that indicated that they hadn't bothered reading the complaint (e.G., they would detail how to set up the ports after I already indicated that data communication was working in one direction). After sending a response to that effect, I would get another reply again telling me how to set up the ports. I also was told to download the latest driver from Keyspan, and given a link. Keyspan doesn't have any "latest drivers, " only a driver that is older than the one on the disk. The older driver doesn't work at all.

I phoned the original sales person, who was extremely arrogant, bragging about the company's world-wide fame, and refusing to acknowledge that there could be any problems with the software or products. She also informed me that no refunds were issued after
3 weeks, which was about the time it took to get an initial response from tech support.in addition, they screwed up the initial order, which took several weeks just to send the correct items.

I have since bought the latest organizer directly, which includes far superior software with direct USB links at no extra cost. The software works flawlessly with Outlook, and does not need to be imported first into some other database. Avoid Rupplynx like the plague.
