One Call Communications, unfounded Internet dial-up charge Ripoff

I received a bill from One Call Communications, Inc. Representing Navicomm for 3 phone calls made between 5:07 and 5:39 AM on a Friday morning. When I called the company to inform them that no one was even home at this time, and that no one had access to the house or computer - they informed me SOMEONE had to have been because someone would have had to authorize their service to disconnect my normal internet dial-up service and access theirs and agree to the charges. They could not provide me with any answer as to how this could have happened if no one was home, nor could they even identify for me what web sites had supposedly been accessed. They could only tell me they had a time and date stamp and IP address. They asked me if I'd checked my History - I informed them I use the internet quite proficiently and that was the first thing I had done, and there were no entries except for sites I had intentionally accessed. Their answer to this was that if someone had hacked my computer they could easily have erased the history for this event. They asked if I checked my modem log - I informed them I did, and there were no entries except for my normal dial-up number. Still... Their answer was that they had a time and date stamp and there was nothing they could do.

I informed them, that was fine but please make a note that I WAS NOT going to pay the bill, and would forward this to them in writing AND I would be filing a complaint with the Ifcc - internet fraud bureau - which I immediately did - and encourage anyone else who has experienced this problem to do as well

I don't know about anybody else, but I'm tired of companies like this being able to create extra stress in my life and everyone elses to make a quick buck, and then getting away with it because they make it too difficult, or to complicated for people to resolve. I don't have an extra $65.47 to pay to somebody for something I didn't purchase, and I don't want it on my credit report when I don't pay it, so I plan on pursuing this until it's resolved, I hope other people will too.
