I found a ATV on ebay, and the buy in now price was Very low and Included free shipping. You had to email the guy and get pre approved for the bike. When I asked him why he was selling it for so cheap he said it was his sons, his son had died and he wanted to sell it because he couldn't stand looking at it every day. I figured he was telling the truth, so I decided to go ahead with the whole thing. He asked me for all of my info, I just gave him my address and waited to hear back.
He said he was going to use some kind of Escrow account on ebay and I needed to send money via Western Union. He sent an email with the instructions, It looked just like an email from ebay. It was very official. When I went to the local Western union, the clerk noticed that it didn't look right. I guess they dont have agents that work for western union.
So I came back and looked on ebay and sure enough that was exsactly how scams had been working. Ebay doesn't ever recomend any other way of payments, especially ones like western union.
I then came to this web site and found the exsact name he used on a prior report. He had just done it on the 30th of Sept.
It amazes me how dishonest people are becoming.
