While surfing the web i came across a site called usenet.com. As i paged through it in the sign up area, i saw that they were offering a 30 day trial. The largest amount of services were under their "platinum" plan, so that's what i applied for. I gave them the credit information required and picked out a user name and pass-word. Shortly after signing on and surfing through some of the information i realized that this site was not for me. I e-mailed internet billing company (who i believes does their billing) to cancel my account the next day and credit my visa. They e-mailed back that the account would automatically close after a year and that they did not honor the 30 day trial when a person was signed up for a year. I called [email protected] on their land line. I was told that according to the disclaimer (which, after going back to their site i found in tiny, tiny almost unreadable letters) that they didn't have to give me my $ back and if i "backcharged" they could sue. Yes, i had read the disclaimer after signing up. Because the site is offensive to me and i don't agree to the rules of the disclaimer, nor did i click on acceptance of this account contract, i am going to call my bank and have this charge disolved.
