Ex-employee and glad to be gone!!!
Since June of this year until This monday the 8th of August I was employed by storesonline where I found that they are in fact telling false information. For example if you go to www.storesonlineinc.com it states that they have no complaints filed against them on this site! What a joke.
Now the real story. It starts that the site programmers get an hourly wage for the first few weeks for training. Once they have passed that then they get site commision pay which is anywhere from 65 to 150 dollars per site. I had done about 10 sites in this last pay period and actually felt releif that I might get out of debt for the first time in a year.
That all changed though, around noon on August 8 the programming manager asked me to come into his office where he stated that I was falsly filling out the surveys (it is what they use to determine what the programmer gets for that site). He said that I had filled out 3 surveys cause the IPs matched. Now I did in fact see these documents that showed this however upon looking at the IP Addresses I found that they in no way related to me. They are through a company we will call "E" so there were these three matching IPs from company E which does have a lot of subsribers in this area. However my IP provider was company "Q". Now the IPs on my computer and the IPs on that sheet were not even closly related. Plus I had received emails from each one of the three stating that they had taken the surveys.
When I tried to have them hear me out that I could prove it wasn't me they didn't even listen and just went on as if I hadn't said a thing. Now I was given the option to either quit or be fired.
Now obviously quitting looks a bit better than getting fired so I quit and asked what I would be getting paid. Now earlier that week I was told I would get site commision pay as I would have earned more. But now I am getting a small hourly check tomorrow (Tuesday) and I am out of a job which wasn't even my fault!
Now this leads me to a couple of conclusions:
1. The Manager has the ability to change the surveys so it could have been done by him or
2. All I was shown was a small table only showing the name, date, rating and IP that it was taken from. So was I lied to and they just wanted me gone as I was making a lot more than they had expected? Or
3. Others have access to the database where these surveys can be taken. It wouldn't be hard to find out the license number for the site and take it!
I don't really know but I am only 18 and sure makes since that they probably didn't want me there anymore.
As far as I am concerned they just want all the money and could care less about employees and their customers.
I am very upset with them because I could have proved them wrong on the information that they had for the IPs but who cares. Hopefully soon they get caught in their lies and go bankrupt and everyone there loses their jobs as much as I hate to say it as there were some very nice people that I worked with.
