I called little man computers last week to have my laptop worked on, and updated for virus and spyware. John told me that it would cost between 50-150 to complete this at the rate of $50 per hour. John said that he had to format my computer and restore everything back to it to fix the poblem. He used his cd's and cd burner to back up all of the files. I told him that I had both, and he said "not to worry" about it he had them. Well after everything was done, he charged me $200.00 (3 cd's) per cd that can be purchased at any store for around $1.00 he said that if I didn't pay him he would just break the CD's so that I wouldn't be able to get my files.
My files were very important to me and he made me pay him in cash before he would give me my cd's. This bothers me greatly, and I talked to my attorney he said that I was pretty much SOL if I wanted my files, because he could charge anything for those CD's that he wanted to! Watch out for this scammer!
