In July, 99, after seeing a Gateway ad on Tv, I called to inquire about the program. The "sales" man said, he just needed, a little information, and within minutes, I was approved for $1400.00! I was delighted, because the computer, I was interested in was only $999.00! Never having owned one, I was completely, at his mercy! I had no idea, nor was I ever told that, I would be sent a Gateway Credit Card, which I never asked for, nor did I want! And, I was charged 27.99% interest! All, I was ever told, was that the financing, was being thru Hurley State Bank!
I never signed anything, nor, have I been asked to do so! I don't understand how a "Bank", or Gateway can get away with this! I was suckered in, and to boot, the $999.00 computer, I wanted, can to $1399... Isn't that odd! We should have some federal recourse! Does anyone, have any ideas? Class-action suit?
