I fell for the "get a free Ipod" deal. One of the requirements was to take advantage of several "special offers" one of which was a free bottle of Appera Teeth Whitening.
I got my freebie. The product did not work. Next thing I know, I get 3 more bottles and an invoice saying I am being charged $89 for a membership and I'll keep getting 3 bottles of this stuff every 3 months. There was absolutely no mention of this membership in any readable form when I ordered the free bottle. And the shipment came with no information about how or when my credit card will be charged. I can't even figure out which credit card they are charging!
I have tried to cancel my "memberhip" twice using their online form. I have gotten no confirmation. I have written to them 3 times asking to return the shipment and get a refund and I get a form letter saying product is not returnable, and that if I wish to pursue this, I have to call an 800 number. I have called a dozen times at all times of the day and night. The office is either closed, or a recording says there is a 45 minute wait.
What a rip-off!!!
