Ripoff poor service refused to refund unsatisfactory product

I purchased a laptop computer via shopnbc on 2/11/05. I received the laptop on 2/24/05 via ups (viscom claims the warranty started on 2/11/05 prior to my receipt). I had problems from day one with the laptop. The router would not work. I contacted vendor on 2/25/05 regarding the router problems and when they discovered it was not a problem with the router i was told to contact VISCOM. I contacted viscom on 2/26/05. They told me to send the laptop back and the hard drive would be put in another computer and sent back within 3-5 days. I never received a box and contacted them on 3/11/05 and was told them sent out labels/box but told them I never received they claim they were sent on 3/2/05.

They sent out new labels which I received on 3/16/05. They computer was sent back to them Monday (3/18/05) they received it on 3/21/05. After not hearing from them another week. I contacted viscom on 3/29/05 and they claim that the computer was physically damaged and I told them I sent it back to them the same way it was received. I was evidently sent to me with damages. They state that I would have to repair the computer which I did not damage and is under 1 yr warranty. I contacted shop nbc re; a refund on 3/31/05 and was told they need to hear from viscom re; date the computer was received. I contacted viscom again on 3/31/05 and told they need to research further and would get back with me. I still did not receive a call from them and contacted viscom again on 4/5/05 asn was told they would check on the status and call me back by 4/7/05.

I contacted viscom again on 4/7/05 and was told still need to repair the damages of $85.00 and told her that the computer evidently was defective from their manufacturer, was told to call back am hrs when supvr was available. On 4/7/05 contact shop nbc again, they inquired with supvr re; options available. They state since vendor item would need to resolve with viscom. I told them that I had filed a complaint against them and viscom with the better business bureau. I contacted shop nbc and requested to get my $150.00 payment that had been appled to shop nbc acct and was told need to call the banking company (world financial bank). I contacted world financial bank on 4/8/05 and was told they cannot refund my payment even though i do not have the computer and it was a one yr no payment due until 2/11/06.

I contacted viscom again 4/8/05. Was intially disconnected then called back and after waiting over 5 minutes s/w cortez who transferred me to dof who states he will talk to the repair people to see if issue can be resolved since i received this laptop with problems that is currently noted from day one. He assured me someone would call me back on 4/13/05, I advised him I had been told that several times already he assured me they would call me back this time.
