EBay
Dishonest billing, false emails, no proper contact info, no response

In November I sold several items on eBay. At the time I requested that my invoice be billed to me, and I would pay it from there.

During the weeks between the selling, and December 21, eBay attempted to charge an old credit card several times for payment... After I had stated that I wanted the invoice billed, and then I would pay it. I then received an email on Decemebr 21, stating that my account was past due, and was now $50.36! The original amount billed had only been $19.00!!

When I inquired as to what the huge excess amount was for, I received a reply back, stating that they were for charges for a non-suffiencient funds on a credit card, and they were applied to my account. I then wrote back stating my dilemma, and received an email back from "Valerie M."

According to "Valerie M." eBay owed ME money... To the tune of $43.46! I then immediately wrote her back asking how to get this money refunded, and to get the false charges off of my eBay account. I then recieved a response back from "Roger L." telling me that "Valerie M." has the night off, and he will be handling my questions from then on out, and that she was in fact, not telling the truth, that I did owe the fees, and that he could not find where eBay owed me any money.

I then wrote him back explaining the exact amount that Valerie had given me, and all I received back was a response on how to pay my eBay "past due bill." No one could give me any information on the $43.46 that one of eBays employees had said was due to me! How convenient.

I then went ahead and filled out information on getting my refund from eBay. Since then I have heard NOTHING from them.

About two weeks into January, I started receving collections notices from eBay in the snail mail. They were conveniently not signed with a real name of course, just a "Mrs. Johnson" or a "Mrs. Black." I then get a final one stating that this was my final notice, that eBay was going to take legal action against me, but that I could offer to settle for what I thought was fair. I thought, "Fine. That will work." I put a $30.00 check in the mail with a note stating that this was my settlement, and that eBay could take it or leave it, and if they wanted to press is further, I'd see them in court. I sent that check on February 8th.

Here it is March 14th. The check has not been cashed. EBay won't un-suspend my account. When I call the number to the department that the collections notice came from, no one knows a "Mrs. Johnson." I haven't received a refund from eBay, and I am getting very mad and frutsrated. It seems that no one knows what in the hell is going on, and I for one am tired of it. I haven't received my rebate, and no one can even tell me anything about it, of course.

I was a good eBay member for 5 years. If they had done what they were told to do in the first place (BILL ME) none of this would have happened, and I am getting the brunt end of the deal here. I want some answers! I want someone with a first and last name, and a contact number that I can get a hold of to get this mess straightened out.
