I recently received an email that looked exactly like an authentic ebay web page telling me that my credit card had expired. I had ignored the first two emails to this effect until they told me my account had been suspended. Knowing that ebay and paypal are tied together I thought it was valid. Iwaas bogus and only meant to gain access to my private info, including my cc number.
I filled out the info and within two days someone had changed my password for my account! Please be forwarned! I had to call and cancel my cc's, contact ebay and paypal and change those3 passwords, too. I was on the phone for 5 hours on and off trying to keep myself safe. I should have went with my gut on that one. Ebay never asks for that info through email.
