Just-leather.com Unscrupulous Business Practices/Fraud

I purchased an XX large jacket for my stepson as a Christmas gift. The amount shown on the shopping cart screen was $106.99 and the amount they actually charged was $159.99, which I didn't catch until after I placed the order. I immediately tried to contact them several times without any response. When my stepson opened his gift, the XXL was ridiculously small. He couldn't try it on anyway as the zipper was broken.

I immediately returned the jacket with tags still attached and an explanation of the problems via Fed Ex and, after finding this website, felt it was best to dispute the charge with my credit card company. A few weeks later someone from just-leather.com called my house and told my stepson if I didn't call back right away, he'd press charges against me. When I called just-leather and asked him why he would say something like that, he denied it. He said I was going to be charged $50 by the credit card company because they said I reported that I had not received the merchandise, which was completely inaccurate.

Rather than argue with him, I told him I'd work it out with the company myself. He also insisted they never would have refunded me the shipping charges so I agreed to send him a check for $18.99 just to MAKE HIM GO AWAY! He was very rude and hostile during the entire conversation and was deliberately trying to provoke me into losing my temper, which I am glad to say he was unable to do. I sent the check and he cashed it. Today I received a notice from Transworld Systems, a collection agency, that I owe just-leather $213.98!! I returned the merchandise, paid him the shipping and agreed to absorb any extra charges and now this!!! Incredible.

I so wish I had found this website and learned from other peoples' problems with this company before I became involved. It is unquestionably the worst Internet purchase I've ever made. If they insist on pursuing (I sent a ton of documentation to the collection agency, including printouts from this website!), I intend to file complaints with everyone from the Federal Trade Commission on down. If there is someone out there initiating a class action suit, please contact me. I don't want this to happen to anyone else.
