I recently made the mistake of signing up for a $2.99 three day trial with a company called global-intermedia. The following is what happened.
1. I happened to see a $2.99 three day trial for a site.
2. I Looked over the sample material and was extremely impressed.in fact rarely do I see high res quality photos of the models.
3. I decide for $2.99 I would like to see more.
4. I sign up with the website and something interesting occurs.
The domain name changes from Indianexpose.com to indiaexpose.com. Next I notice that not one of the picture sets shown in the preview are on this new domain. Not even the quality of pictures is the same. I take my time and carefully look in every part of the site to find the product that lured me into the site in the fist place. Needless to say I never find those photos or anything remotely resembling the resolution and quality of the preview photos. The thing that comes to mind at this point is FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.
5. I am disappointed and immediately go to the website to cancel my account.
6. I fill out all the necessary info and press the cancel button.
7. The browser confirmation screen never loads.
8. I go to the customer service screen again to check the account status and go through the cancel process again.
9. This time a confirmation screen appears and displays an offer to sign up for all their sites.
10. I press the button that says I DO NOT WANT the offer.
11. I receive this email.
Dear Customer,
Our records indicate that during the cancellation process, you took advantage of our unprecedented, "All Sites Deal". This remarkable offer allows valued customers the chance to remain active members, with unlimited access to all 77 of our Adult Websites for the price of one reoccurring subscription. Your account is cancelled. Your account will have the trial fee charge of $2.99 for Indiaexposed and will have the month charge of $39.99 for accepting the "All Sites Deal.
12. I go to the service site again and chat with an online support person who tells me there is nothing that he can do because I accepted the offer. I ask to speak to a supervisor but was denied and i am told to look at the sites and the chat session closes.
13. I goto the Service page to aquire a phone number to call but all the information links give me a message saying the page does not exist. The only thing available is a FAX number. Using the fax number area code I manage to locate the company and call the office.
14. I am told the same thing... There is nothing that can be done because you accepted the offer. I try to explain that I DID NOT accept the offer but the person on the phone is sarcastic and repplies "Well we did not do it". She also says "You can call tomorrow when the supervisor is here and hangs up the phone.
This company not only is practicing FALSE ADVERTISEMENT but a scam that makes you pay for a month fee.
