A company called "Net Strategies" sold me a cybermall. This Cybermall was supposed to a completely turnkey operation and be designed and serviced by Net Strategies.
I was promised a mall that hundreds of people on the internet would enter and buy from affiliates such as Amazon, Petsmart, DisneyStore, etc.
So, in essence I was the resaler for these affiliates.net Strategies was supposed to promote my site to the top 100 search engines, I never found my site when I tried to search for it!
In essence I was told that I would make money and I didn't, I was told there would be an abundance of traffic on my site, there wasn't.
I was promised low maintenance and high profits, I experienced high maintenance and NO profits. I was told that they had a lot of satisfied customers and they would send me their testimonials, I've never seen any testimonials or any satisfied customers.
In conclusion, I truly believed at the time that this was a safe investment an upfront fee of 1,250 and once the site is making money then they would charge the other portion for a total of 2,500.
My site has never made money and I was scammed. What bothers me most was that I felt really comfortable with the sales representative and I discussed my worries about being a single mother with an infant on maternity leave.
He told me this was a great way to be able to make money and stay home with your baby. He knew I was low on cash, worried about income, and the future of my baby... He assured me this was the answer to my prayers. He assured me that I would make money and that this company was a reliable-they ARE NOT!!!
