Scott Baker - aka Gilmore is selling watches on iOffer advertised as Swiss made with Swiss made movements. I had a watch repairman open the back of two watches I bought from Scott Baker on iOffer.
Both case backs were marked on the inside as "Made in China".
I took pictures of the watch movements as well as the stamped case backs. I e-mailed them to Scott and requested a refund for my purchases due to false advertising.
He responded to my e-mail by saying that the company he buys them from in Switzerland gives him a spec sheet of the watches. Beyond that he has no knowledge of the inside workings. He made no effort to offer a refund or to allow me to return the watches. ($370.00 total for 2)
I have made him aware of the fact that the watches are not Swiss made and attached pictures of the actual movement and case back. Yet he still continues to advertise the watches as Swiss, even going as far as replying to customer inquiries regarding the movement by stating the movement is a Swiss ETA movement.
Unsuspecting customers will continue to get taken by this individual so long as he is not honest about the items is is selling.
