When I got stuck at JFK Airport for 12 hours, I figured it would be a good idea to buy a day of Boingo service so I could amuse myself and stay busy. WRONG!
The service at Terminal 1 is spotty at best. There is ZERO signal anywhere near any electircal outlets. When you can get a signal, it's of intermittent quality, usually about a 2-bar level and slow as all get-out.
Even to send them a complaint, I had to get access to airport lounge wi-fi.
I asked for a refund but I'm not holding my breath.
It'd be cheaper and far less frustrating to just bring a couple of crossword puzzle books or a novel. I would heartily discourage anybody from signing up for Boingo. Ever.
