I have just recently received an invoice in the mail from Premier Premium Communications in which they were billing me for Pay-Per-View Websites allegedly visited through this computer. I am the sole operator of this computer and never have I ever opened a pay per view site for any reason in the years that I have been connected to the Internet.
Curious because of the presentation of the billing on their invoice noted a time and number called I checked out this company (?) with the following results, This company does not exist in the Fort Worth Area, does not have a listed telephone or street address suggesting that the PO Box is a drop only.
On the backside of this invoice is a so called Billing Rights Summary with a postal mail address. With the same checks used as in the above this company also does not exist in the Bedford, NH. Area, does not have a listed telephone or street address suggesting that the PO Box noted in the address is also a drop.
Trying my options the only way that this outfit can be reached is through their posted website after giving personal information or by writing to the NH. Po. Box.
The circumstances above suggest that the mailed invoice is a fraudulent attempt to obtain money. The results obtained in using the companies name as a keyword indicates that I am not alone in my suspicions.
I did not send any remittance as requested in the invoice. The intent of this report is to document the event with the hope that other people will be fore warned.
