I conducted a free search for a person on their site but was hesitant to pay $19.95 for the "advanced search". That evening I received an email from them promising an address in the state I had narrowed my search down to.
The advanced search results were 5 addresses of "other" people throughout the country that I had seen on free searches and were readily available on the internet.in other words, I could have done as well with a google search or the whitepages.
I plan to do a credit card dispute and contact as many authorities as I can. Having read other reports about this company, I quickly closed my credit card account and had it reissued. This cost me $6.00 and it was too late to stop the $19.95 charge. A charge back may not work but the ACH that handles their credit card purchases will not allow too many of these if enough victims do this.
They have no email address and the only way to contact them is to fill out an online form. The back button does not work on their site either which is another bad sign.
They responded to my complaint by telling me that a refund was not possible due to the fact that I couldn't "return" what I had ordered. They considered the search results valid.
I will also report them to the Fraud Center, state attorney generals, and anyone else I can think of.
