I received notice (9/26) that Blast Fitness Sugar Land location would be closing this coming Monday (10/1). I had paid for five personal training sessions. I arrived at the Sugar land location on 9/28 for my training session and 75% of equipment was gone. My trainer cancelled session and gave me a number for Blast corporate office in order to request refund. 5 Personal Training Sessions ($35.00) each. I sent Blast an email stating I wanted to cancel my membership effective immediately due to Sugar Land, Texas location closing. On 9/28 Blast fitness debited monthly dues in the amount of $22.72.
I was told by an employee at Blast Fitness to contact ABC Financial at 1-888-827-9262 in order to receive a refund. I contacted ABC Financial on 10/1 and spoke to Jeff. Jeff stated that they would not refund my money as there are several other blast locations. I informed Jeff that the Sharpstown location which is 8 miles away is in a high crime / prostitute / undesireable location. I chose the Sugar Land, Texas location because it is five minutes from my house and the area was safe. Jeff then told me of several other Blast locations that were even further from my home. I also reminded Jeff about the Houston rush hour traffic. Jeff apologized and told me that I simply could not have my money back and that I should visit other Blast Locations. I want a refund of 197.72 (Five Personal Training Sessions at $35.00 and $22.72 monthly dues that was debited on 9/28). I feel that Blast Fitness Breached the Contract).
