Two years ago I had a pacemaker replacement procedure at St. Agnes. I checked in early in the morning and should have been released in the early afternoon. Someone in the cath lab punctured my lung. I had to spend the night and incurred the extra charges of a nights stay in the CCU unit. My insurance, through my employer, covered the majority of the surgery. I have been paying the balance monthly. Without notice St. Agnes turned my account over to a collection agency this month because I still have an outstanding bill and it has been 24 months. My balance had been $685 in July and now it is $826 because it has been sent to a collection agency.in my opinion this is a heartless hospital.
