Dr. William Baird Dr. Baird Nearly Killed Me from the Medication He Perscribed, Blamed Me for it!

I Had gone to Dr. Baird to get an approval for Gastric Bypass. When I first met him, I liked him and though that he was very helpful and continued to use him as my PCP until April. I was being treated for lower ruptured discs, depression, anxiety, and pain due to my back condition. Due to my GBS, I have a hard time with medication being very effective. Dr. Baird put me on a bad combination of drugs, twice!!! He first prescribed me a painkiller and anti-depressant combo, Tramadol and Viibryd. Viibryd, the anti-depressant, was so new to the market that the Wal-Greens pharmacist had never heard of it! It caused me to pass out easily and I was not at all myself. One day, I was looking through the leaflet of Viibryd to make sure that an antibiotic I was prescribed did not interact with it. I saw that Viibryd and Tramadol should never be taken together! Http://depression. Emedtv.com/viibryd/viibryd-drug-interactions-p5.html I was confused a lot and very faint! When I told the Dr. About it he fluffed it off as no big deal. I ended up in a mental health facility and taken off of this medication and was told to never let a regular Dr. Put me on these things because it's not their area of experience, but for a psychiatrist.in fact, I had for quite some time asking for a referral to a psychiatrist and a pain management specialist. Again, I was fluffed off. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and continued to see Dr. Baird. My next incedent with him was when he put me on 100 mg Fentynal Patches and 2mg Xanax three times a day! Needless to say I was lost at that point!

I had memory black-outs, very marked changed behavior to the point that my family became concerned. I then became very sick, throwing-up (which is hard on a GB patient), swollen ankles, feet, legs, and then face and neck. I was rushed by ambulance to the E.R. The E.R. Dr was very upset that I was on this combination of drugs, they were too powerful and they were shutting down my bowels. I later found out that Fyntenal was 100x stronger than morphine and actually sold on the street as heroin!!! So, needless to say, not only did I have a bad reaction to the medication, I also had to detox off of the medication! The E.R. Dr.indicated that he was going to turn in Dr. Baird, not known to me until later. When I found out was when I went back to Dr. Baird for the last time to tell him I was tired of medication and that I would like to have surgery and get it over with (a secretary in his office told me she had the same problem and back surgery helped her tremendously)! That is when he started to scream at me, call me a drug chaser, a liar, ect... He lied to me by saying that I had visited 5 different pharmacies in one day! Never happened! He showed me a list dating back to where I had gotten medication, I was able to name each one and why, most being surgeries! He continued to scream and yell, calling me a liar, and that he was going to make sure no Dr would help me, no pharmacy would fill my prescriptions, and I would have no insurance! He told me to never come back!

Well, I later found out that the E.R. Dr and a social worker turned him in to the DEA and I was also told this was not the first time he has been red flagged! This has taught me a valuable lesson in finding a Dr. You can trust, and always research any medication a Dr. Gives you! Don't take their word for it! And be very aware of Dr. Baird and the Family Medical Walk-In Clinic! Oh, and as a side note! I have also been double billed there, they were small amounts so I thought nothing of it, but, I know there were several times that I have paid the same bill! Now, I have a bad medical record because of this quack!
